They took advantage of an addict and allegedly provided him the drugs that killed him
Matthew Perry died on 28 October 2023, less than a year ago.
Prosecutors allege that Matthew Perry’s predatory doctor injected him with huge ketamine dose 2 weeks before he died. The doctor called Matthew a “moron” and wondered how much money he could make from Perry.
Matthew Perry’s long term live-in assistant Kenny Iwamasa injected Perry with the ketamine that killed him. Apparently Perry’s doctor trained Iwamasa how to inject Perry. The Los Angeles Department of Justice has said Iwamasa admitted to performing multiple injections on Perry on October 28, 2023 – the day Perry died. Iwamasa also admitted to repeatedly injecting Perry with ketamine over a long period without medical training.
Iwamasa faces up to 15 years in prison.
His assistant Kenny is pictured here with Matthew Perry, 2 months before Perry died.

The others who were arrested include his doctor Dr Salvatore Plascencia, Eric Fleming, Dr. Mark Chavez, 54 and the drug dealer who supplied the ketamine.

Matthew Perry’s autopsy states he died from ‘the acute effects of ketamine’.

The report said he had high levels of the tranquiliser drug in his blood, likely fell unconscious and slipped underwater in his jacuzzi.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner said in a statement: “Contributing factors in Mr. Perry’s death include drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine (used to treat opioid use disorder). The manner of death is accident”.
Emergency services were called by Perry’s assistant, when he found Perry underwater, in his hot tub. His assistant tried to revive him. His assistant thought Perry had had a heart attack. But by the time the emergency services arrive, Perry was already dead. Emergency services found antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications at the property. There was no sign of any illegal drugs.
Perry had a long history of struggles with alcohol and drug abuse but just before he died, he was trying to get clean. Perry wrote in his memoir, published in 2022, that he had spent $9million trying to get sober. He revealed he had been to 6,000 AA meetings, gone to rehab 15 times and been in detox 65 times.
So sad that people Matthew Perry trusted, took such advantage of him and didn’t help him.
