It’s Meghan Markle vs King Charles for who makes the best jam
According to The Daily Mail, King Charles’ £6.95 Windsor Castle organic strawberry preserve sold out soon after Meghan Markle launched her strawberry jam with social media influencers.
King Charles still has a few other organic preserves in several different flavours that are available, including one with champagne. In the description for the strawberry preserve, it states:
‘Carefully cooked by hand in small batches to an original Highgrove recipe, the strawberry jam is bursting with fruity flavours. Traditionally packaged, the label on the glass jar features a specially commissioned woodcut design that captures the natural beauty of the gardens at Highgrove.’

Sounds nice.
If they only make that jam in small batches, it probably gets sold out exceedingly quickly.
Highgrove sells a whole range of products. From food, to home and garden wares, to jewellery, bath and body, clothings, books and even collectible items. The food and many of the other products are made from organic crops tended on the grounds of Highgrove. Then the funds go back to pay staff and keep the estate running. Funds are also used to give to various charities. It’s not a profit making exercise. It is rather to pay people who work there and to donate to charity, which is commendable.
Meghan on the other hand, doesn’t have any information about her jam. She has a publicity sweep of influencers on Instagram who say they love it without even trying it. That’s not really a recommendation at all.
There are no products thus far for Meghan’s lifestyle brand. There is no information about whether her jam will be organic. But given she lives in LA and had instructions for her children to only eat organic food, you would think it would be organic too.

Who will come out the victor in this ‘war’? It is not really a war but it made a good article title.
I think that given King Charles has been selling his wares for over decades, his products and their update are very well established. Meghan on the other hand, doesn’t have any type of track record in selling anything to anyone, other than her acting services. How will she fare?
Are you interested in trying Meghan’s jam? Or are you going to give it a miss?
