Catherine made sure to release it only on hers and William’s social media accounts
Princess Catherine has released a sweet photo of her daughter Charlotte smiling on her 9th birthday that she took. A smiling Charlotte is standing outside against a backdrop of some subtle pink flowers.
Princess Catherine took this photo of her daughter at Windsor. She and released it to the Prince and Princess of Wales Twitter and Instagram accounts early Thursday morning UK time.
This is the second time Catherine has taken the photo and NOT released it to any of the media agencies like Getty or AP. After they criticised her previous mother’s day photo and made it seem like it was fake, she was right not to give them any more access.
Earlier this week, Prince William was undertaking royal engagements in north east of the UK. Some royal fans asked him some questions about his wife. “Do you mind if I ask how your wife and children are?” William responded: “All doing well, thank you. Yes, we’re doing well”.
It’s been a difficult start to the year for Catherine and William. She underwent abdominal surgery in January this year, which was successful. Catherine’s surgeons discovered the cancer after the surgery. She has been receiving preventative chemotherapy treatment since then. Catherine has not been seen at any public engagements this year. She has only made an appearance in late March to announce she had cancer and was taking time out. Totally understandable. She may have hair loss and other symptoms of the chemotherapy. There would be a huge media frenzy if she were to show herself in any way than less than perfect. It’s better she stays out of the public eye until she recovers. Her fans want that for her. Her detractors absolutely do not matter.
