His wife Emma Willis made the decision to move Bruce to a different location, away from her and their daughters
She claims that it was the hardest decision she has ever had to make, meanwhile, she is promoting her book. It’s called “The Unexpected Journey” and will be released on 9 September. Seems rather mercenary.
Bruce Willis was diagnosed in 2023 with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). It is a type of dementia that causes personality changes and decline in being capable of speaking. She has said he can’t really speak any more, so she can’t communicate with him.
He soon began losing words, and a stutter he dealt with as a child returned.
FTD corrodes parts of the brain that control language, behaviour and personality. Unlike Alzheimer’s disease, FTD patients don’t lose their memory straight away but instead experience personality changes. FTD only accounts for 1 in 20 dementia cases, so it is rarer than Alzheimer’s disease.
Emma and Bruce’s daughters are 11 and 13, so having their father away from them must be difficult for them.
Why couldn’t Emma move them all to a house with a second residence where Bruce has 24-hour care? Why didn’t she want him close to her and his kids?
His wife also stated in an interview with Dianne Sawyer that Bruce’s friends and family visit him all the time. And that she takes their kids to see him “all the time”. That’s a very vague statement. It just means she is in control of Bruce Willis’ care. He can’t do anything it as he can’t speak any more.
Hopefully his ex-wife Demi Moore, who loves him, visits him a lot with their daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah.
Demi Moore and her daughters have posted a lot of then with Bruce on social media. They are totally there for him. And know he’s not going to remember them soon and his life is going to be cut short. So they post about him, to create memories for them and to show the world to remember him.

Scout Willis posted a really sweet birthday commemoration for her dad Bruce too. She posted a throwback photo of her dad and showed her love for him.
These posts are poignant and in stark contrast to his second wife, who doesn’t do much except move him out.
It’s quite unbelievable that Bruce Willis’ wife Emma is being so mercenary. As if she cant have him closer to her and his daughters. They are not going to remember their dad when he’s not around at all. Emma is just not nice.
And now Emma Willis is going on a book tour to promote her book about being a carer. She isn’t a carer. She is paying people to care for her sick husband. Bruce’s ex-wife and daughters have been around him a lot. As have many of his friends. His wife Emma. She isn’t a carer. She’s looking for money.
This sad situation just goes to show you really have to be careful about who you give power of attorney. You need to make sure they’ll take care of you when you’re sick, not leave you alone or push you away.
Emma has disabled comments on her recent Instagram posts and only allows positive comments. That’s censorship. But given it’s her Instagram, she can do what she likes. But it seems like she doesn’t want to hear any views that don’t align with her own. She doesn’t like to know that people are not supportive of her abandoning Bruce Willis to actual carers.
