He finally decided to put a ring on it after two years of dating Taylor Swift.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement. They posted images of the proposal on Instagram with “your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married”.
The vintage-inspired engagement ring was co-designed by Kelce and Artifex Fine Jeweler, Kindred Lubeck, who specialises in hand engraving.
The brilliant-cut diamond ring features detailed engraving on the thick band. Jewellery experts estimate that Kelce paid between $US500K to $US1 million for the ring.

Kelce actually popped the question in his multi-million-dollar Kansas mansion before it was sold.
He proposed “a couple weeks ago.”
This is all very clever marketing by Taylor as her fans lap it up and love it.
Her fans are already talking about the “T” monogram on the ring, which is the same as that on Taylor’s website. They love their little Easter eggs and go searching for them. They know that’s what Taylor gives them in every album and every song.

Things got real when he attended the singer’s Eras Tour show at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium two years ago. Travis tried to get backstage to meet Taylor at her Eras concert in Kansas. He wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. That’s when they met and as they say, the rest is all history.
The interesting thing about this announcement is that it occurred on Blake Lively’s birthday. Given that Kelce proposed several weeks ago, Taylor purposely chose Blake Lively’s birthday to post on Instagram. And Taylor did not wish Blake Lively a happy birthday, nor has acknowledged her former bestie for a while. Instead, Taylor released her engagement news on Blake’s birthday.
Last year (2024) Taylor threw a party for her best friend Blake but this year? Nothing.
Here’s Blake Lively and Taylor Swift alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman at a Chiefs game in October 2023. They were all so much friendlier then. Not so much now.

Looks like Blake is totally on the outs.
