Is there trouble in paradise for JLo and Ben Affleck?

Many rumours of the demise of their marriage on the gossip sites

There are so many rumours about Ben and Jen having marital problems because she keeps on going to events and premieres on her own. She was at the premiere of her new series ATLAS made by Netflix on her own. It’s a sci-fi series and looks really amazing from the previews. JL looked stunning in a white strapless top and black fish tail skirt. She posed for photos on her own and in photos with co-stars Simu Liu and Sterling K Brown and the Netflix film’s director, Brad Peyton.

Obviously it should be fine for a woman to be empowered enough to go to her own movie, TV show or other premiere on her own. JLo isn’t known for her solitary ways at these kinds of events. She likes to be glued to her partner. She needs to show the world that she is coupled and love up, for the relevancy and attention. So for her to be on her own, it is rather unusual.

At the premiere of her new series ATLAS, while JLo didn’t have Ben Affleck there with her, she still showed off her wedding ring. She made sure to show in many stances, her wedding ring on her left hand. She did this to quell those divorce rumours that are circulating like crazy on the internet. They might be fuelled by the fact that JLo liked an instagram post about unhealthy relationships.

The post stated “you cannot build a healthy relationship with somebody” who “lacks integrity and emotional safety,” “doesn’t respect your time,” lacks “communication skills” and doesn’t have a strong sense of self.

JLo at Jimmy Kimmel to promote her show ATLAS

JLo also went on the Jimmy Kimmel show last weekend to promote ATLAS. While she was on there, she talked about her husband Ben but it seemed like she was grimacing when she said his name. She definitely looked good in that white halterneck dress that left little to the imagination as it was so body hugging to all her curves. She looks quite fit. There are muscles on her arms that weren’t there before. Must have been due to all the weights she’s lifting.

There is a point in the Kimmel interview where JLo isn’t too happy to be talking about Ben but clearly she is doing it to squash the divorce rumours. She’s talking about the rock on the engagement ring he gave her and her face isn’t one of happiness. It’s like she’s telling him off, upset with him and angry all at the same time. They are definitely having marital problems. Below is a screenshot of when she talks about how Ben gave her that engagement ring.

JLo is a control freak and Ben is an alcoholic. That doesn’t match up because when Ben rebels against her control, JLo responds by getting more controlling and more smothering. No wonder they’re having issues. But given JLo has that need for that level of control, she is going to want to do a lot of damage control to show there is nothing wrong with their marriage. And this is exactly what she did with a smiling photo of her and Ben driving, being seen by well placed photographer taking photos of them (well, it’s the paparazzi who she called for this purpose). Ben picked up Jen outside the Aero Theatre on Sunday 19 May 2024. This photo is so staged. They are doing this until JLo figures out how to manage the marriage issues.

On the same day, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were also seen walking together in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles, with Ben’s wedding ring visible on his left hand. They also attended another thing on 16 May 2024 to support their kids. Apparently they were not seen together for 47 days before that, so of course the Hollywood gossip and rumour mill went into overdrive.

Who’s starting the divorce rumours?

Ben or his friends are causing these divorce rumours. They’re leaking to the tabloids.

He was spotted without his wedding ring over the weekend — before putting it back on for the family outing.

Just hours before the Atlas premiere, a source told Page Six that Affleck has “come to his senses” about the pair’s ill-fated marriage.

“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” our insider shared. “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
