His cancer treatment is going well and he’s well enough to get back to duty
King Charles has been undertaking chemotherapy and recuperating following his undisclosed cancer diagnosis after his successful enlarged prostate surgery late January this year.
But now, he’s ready to go back to his public duties as the monarch of the UK.
The Royal Family Instagram account released this post on Friday 26 April 2024, stating that the king is now ready to resume his duties. And after this weekend, King Charles will be attending a cancer treatment centre on Tuesday 30 April with his wife, Queen Camilla. He’s also going to do a number of other public engagements over the course of May and then they will be hosting the Emperor and Empress of Japan at a state dinner in June. That dinner will have a lot of the political and royal luminaries from the UK, where the King will undoubtedly give one of his well known heartwarming and funny speeches.
Sounds busy. Hope he has recuperated enough to manage this. He’s no longer a young man and has been undergoing serious treatment.
This is a lovely photo of Charles and Camilla. They really are a unified couple. The background of the pink flowers, green trees and green grass is a lovely reminder of the spring weather in the UK right now.
While it’s clear Charles has lost a little hair, he’s lucky he hasn’t lost much of his hair. He’s clearly a strong man and hopefully is beating the cancer that invaded his body.
There were many rumours about preparations for the King’s funeral recently, which were not given the time of day here. This announcement on Instagram was made to counter those terrible rumours, to show the world the King is very much alive and well and giving a big 2 fingers salute to those who were wishing him ill.
Do you wish Charles well on his chemotherapy and other cancer treatment?
Stay well King Charles. Live at least as long as your parents.
