  • Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s chief of staff gone after 3 months

Josh Kettler has suddenly quit his chief of staff job after a very short tenure

According to multiple sources, Harry and Meghan’s chief of staff has quit his high paying chief of staff job a mere 3 months after he started. That’s quite quick.

When he was hired, he was touted as the “perfect man” to “guide” Harry “through his next phase.” Meaning, Kettler was supposed to provide strategic advice and planning on how to market Harry to the public in a way to make Harry popular.

Kettler was there at Invictus when Prince Harry visited London in May this year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Kettler was there with Prince Harry and Meghan when they did a three-day tour of Nigeria also in May this year.

So why did Kettler quit?

Josh Kettler, pictured below, didn’t even add his position with Harry and Meghan’s charity on his LinkedIn profile. Something is afoot here, especially given he quit rather suddenly and no reason given for his departure.

According to gossip site Page Six, there was no reason given for him quitting. And when Page Six asked for comment, Harry and Meghan did not respond. As if they will tell the public why another senior staff member left their charity.

According to the Daily Mail, Prince Harry & Meghan seem to have had a difficult time retaining staff. Apparently they have lost at least 18 employees since they married in 2018. Around 9 or more leaving after the duo moved to California in 2020.

According to the Daily mail, a source said:

What may be most telling is that the entire time I worked there, I don’t think I heard a single current or former employee on their staff say they would take the job again if given the chance

The sources also said:

These aren’t employees they had just found off the streets. Many of them are people who had previously excelled working for demanding bosses in high-performance companies and environments.

When a company or charity has a high staff turnover, it is due to the environment. And that environment is a toxic one. There are many rumours about Meghan being difficult. Allegedly even as bad as bullying staff when she was part of the British Royal Family. If their staff quit after a very short time, it is not a good look for Harry and Meghan. Or rather, Meghan’s personality, as she is the boss, Harry doesn’t get a say.

And now Prince Harry and Meghan have released a fluffy piece to the celebrity publicists PR rag, People magazine:

The Duke of Sussex’s chief of staff, Josh Kettler, has left his position after 3 months. Hired on a trial basis, the decision to part ways was mutual, with both sides agreeing it wasn’t the right fit

Notice how Meghan didn’t add her name to this PR piece? It states Kettler leaving was entirely due to Prince Harry, when we know that is absolutely untrue. You can be assured that whatever PR is in People, the opposite is true. Kettler left because of Meghan Markle.

And just when are chief of staff roles on a “trial basis”? They are not. You get the that kind of senior role with the expectation you stay a while. This isn’t some work experience kid. This is hugely disrespectful to Kettler and has Meghan’s hands all over it. She wrote this. Or rather instructed it to be written by her PR company to save face. Everyone knows she’s a nightmare to work with. That’s why so many senior people have left their charity in such a short duration.

What do you think? Is this yet another sign of the toxic environment due to Meghan? Or do you think it’s due to something else?
