Prince William visits a high school in the West Midlands to a celebrity reception

He visited St Michael’s High School, Woodgate Urban Farm, Betel UK

The kids at St Michael’s CE High School were super excited to see Prince William. He received a welcome like what a celebrity normally does when he visited. They were so enthusiastic about William’s visiting their school.

Young student Freddy Hadley from the high school wrote to Prince William inviting him to one of their Matrix Project events that centres around male mental health. Their project aims to help boys and men feel more comfortable about speaking about their mental health and learn coping strategies to help with mental health struggles. What a good project for the school to start. It’s excellent that Prince William, came to this school, to highlight and raise awareness about the positive impacts that helping young men with good, positive messages about mental health.

Boys and men often struggle with mental health issues. They are often told not to express their emotions or even to feel them and leaving things bottled up. This causes a lot of problems in society. Telling boys and men that it’s okay to seek help can only only a good thing. It’s meant to stop problems before they start.

It’s a win-win for everyone. Love it!

William then went to Betel UK, which, as stated by their website is “an independent Christian charity for men, women and families affected by drug and alcohol addiction and homelessness”.

William went to Woodgate Valley Urban Farm, a “charity dedicated to offering a range of practical work and volunteering experience for those within our local community”. With “special emphasis on supporting young people with Special Educational needs, those suffering from social exclusion, educational exclusion and poor mental health” according to their website.

It’s great that William gives this massive exposure to these charities. These charities need the publicity that Prince William can provide them. It’s massive news on all the news media and social media whenever William goes anywhere. It’s a huge advantage to them to have this kind of support from a senior royal family member. William is well known to promoting good mental health. Having William there helps these charities get more funding from people who have the means to do it. This means the charities can do more for more people.

This is a nice, feel good story that should warm everyone’s hearts.
